MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE

Last night I watched the 25^th annual National Memorial Day concert conducted on the West Lawn of the U.S Capital. It was an emotional tribute to the many brave soldiers who fought to preserve our cherished liberties. Every American owes a profound debt of gratitude to those who have served and are presently serving in the armed forces of the United States of America. Although we take time to remember their unselfish devotion on this day, I pray that the cost of freedom is not forgotten as we go about our daily lives. Thousands of America’s finest made the ultimate sacrifice.  Many of them are buried in Arlington National Cemetery and in nondescript graves elsewhere.  May the memory of what they have done be kept alive in our hearts.
