The “slipping away from God Christian” first loses his
heart of gratitude to God. He then loses his heart to serve God. After that he
loses his heart to worship God. Finally, the slipping away from God Christian’s
heart turns cold toward God altogether. He neglects his Bible, he gives up on prayer, he shuns God's people and becomes critical and judgmental. A lack of gratitude to God is a
grievous sin! Be a "growing Christian," not a "slipping away Christian."
